Dont listen to the sound of all the people you know slowly falling apart.

From the Bird Wire
She spends her time sitting in the park
Watching the people as they pass
Never does she move, or appear to speak or breathe
She sits, watching the people as they pass
From the bird wire, she’s waiting for something
Some say she’s waiting for a dream
Others say she’s waiting to wake up
I asked her once, such a small request?
She replied, “In all things I have been blessed
But lately, I cannot wake in the morning
I cannot breathe when I stand
I cannot think, cannot hear, and cannot move.
I, like Job, am depressed and feel lost
I want to lay under a tree and never move;
Ignore the many miracles around me
Instead, though, I sit here and watch the people as they pass
In envy, I stare at the blades of grass
I try to move, think, breathe – I’m still trying.”
I’ve thought many of times of her words –
Simple yet strong – powerful yet weak
Weeks passed before a day came that I didn’t see her
Sitting and watching people as they pass
It’s been months now, and still no sign
I hope, so sincerely, that she is alright.
