Life: a giant oxymoron
A child lives in innocence
They live through their dreams
They don’t understand how the world works
But when they do, they’re torn from their seams
They want to portray love in a time of hate
They want to be kindness in a moment of pain
They want to be strong during every sorrow
They want to live today, but they work for tomorrow
They want to be patience, in a world that is rushed
They want to be open, but they only get crushed
They want to be fearless, but they’re only scared
They want to be ready, but are never prepared
They want to be different in a world where difference is ‘wrong’
They want to be unique, and dance to their own song
They want to be friends with all who they meet
They want to know why they can’t feel complete
A child’s born into a world of grief
They’re brought up and raised in disbelief
They question their purpose and all the reasons why
They go home to sleep, and only cry
Their heart yearns for some kindness in their moments of pain
They conform to the concept of only helping for gain
There comes a time when innocence meets sin
But no one can tell where that fine line begins
A child lives in innocence
They live through their own dreams
They don’t understand how the world works
So along that fine line, they find a gray between
Compromising morals and self actualization
To live in contempt from the worlds demonstration
Losing their innocence and communion with Him
Never knowing when the next chapter begins

A Ballerina’s Dance
The ballerina tip toes, across the steeples floor
Trying to escape from, the world, – a sinful whore
Screaming Alleluia, it’s not a losing fight
And pondering what to do with the remainder of her night

The church bells ring, its twelve o’clock
She drops to her knees when there comes a knock
The blessed dead sound the golden trumpet
So the ballerina stands, in a sharpened silhouette

Her dress transforms to a shadowed white
Her Fathers calling: “It’s not a losing fight.”
She gracefully dances in exit the church
Painful ashes trace the braches perch

The ballerina tip toes, beyond the rusted gates
Desperately searching for her cursed fate
She pursues her journey, story untold
A distanced forest sending chills through her bones

Along comes a rider, clothed in sheer gray
The horse gallops besides her, him guiding her way
She questions, “What say ye?” But he won’t respond.
The rider just points into a castle beyond

The trees seem to get taller, the deeper they go
A song seems to surface, as the wind doth blow
The ballerina listens, awaiting the sound
Of goblins marching on the thorn-covered ground

Finally they stand, a few feet from the doors
Above head they see, the guardian soars
Watching their actions, as its master commands
On anyone who enters his darkened bare land

The ballerina tip toes, around the castles fort
Waiting on her Father, and her kingdoms support
In total felicity, she dances along
Humming quite blissfully to the bitter winds song

The trumpet then sounds, respect of her King
He’s sitting upon a dragon’s left wing
He calls to her softly: “Its not a losing fight!”
Her Kingdom has forsaken her in painful delight.

The ballerina dances, across the castles floors
She twirls elegantly through its many doors
She holds her ground with hope in sight
Remembering dearly, “It’s not a losing fight.”

Suspended

The white blows, so lightly
Across the brisk-dark sky
But still my, heart beats change
Only dreams can tell me why

The dark comes, so early
My dreams become my wake
I see the, dark forest
No time between day break

My hearts suspended
Dreams: become reality
Consciously lacking, yet
Fighting for mortality

The grass blows, so harshly
In the field I call mine own
A treasure, I found one
It’s leading toward a throne

The bridge seems, unstable
A sand castles foundation
The mountains, they tremble
The rocks scream: adoration

My hearts suspended
Dreams become reality
Consciously lacking, yet
Fighting for mortality

The goblins, the monsters
They creep from behind the trees
They follow, behind me
Like a stalking disease

The King comes, He’s riding
Upon a tall white steed
The dust is, suspended
The King is all I need

My hearts suspended
Dreams become reality
Consciously lacking, yet
Fighting for mortality

We’ll Wait under the White Tree
Ill dance with you
On the Mausoleum floor
I’ll grasp your hands
Through simple rapport 1
We’ll take a walk
And you’ll forget
When the clock strikes 12 o’clock

Beauty, its melancholy
How my heart yearns for you
A defiled love
But there’s nothing I can do

We will sit, under a white tree
And wait for the morning dew
You’ll dream a night worth wonders
I just want to be with you

Ill sing you to sleep
As the hearse draws near
Continue to sleep my darling
And do not fear
For thou shall not fear

Beauty, its melancholy
How my heart yearns for you
A defiled love
But there’s nothing I can do

Im waiting for

I want to take a road trip
I want to see cloud nine
I want to get my picture taken
Under every state sign

I don’t want to be nervous
I’ll stick with mystified
How bout’ we make a story
And you look me in the eyes
So maybe I can catch my breath
Whenever I see you smile
Maybe you can put a spell
On me just for a while

I want to stop for a picnic
And make good memories
I want us to last long
And not be history

I don’t want to be nervous
I’ll stick with mystified
How bout’ we make a story
You can look me in the eyes
So maybe I can catch my breath
Whenever I see you smile
Maybe you can put a spell
On me just for a while
