The Narrow PathFather please forgive me
For I have sinned again
I seem to let my guard down
And I let the demons in
I didn’t pay attention
To the war around
I just chose to listen
As Satan tore me down
And as his demons whispered
Into my head these lies
I didn’t ask for Your help
I just snuck around, “disguised”
Father I am sorry
For I have doubted You
I got caught up in myself
And didn’t think things through
I could make excuses
There are a million reasons why
But each one sums to nothing
And that I can’t deny
As I walked along the narrow path
I shed my faith each day
Giving them an entrance
And causing me to sway
Father please forgive me
For I have sinned again
Please give me my daily bread
And let my sins be shed
I now will take the blame
For all the webs I’ve spun
I accept the consequence
For all the sins I’ve done
I feel you must grow angry
In frustration over me
But Your patience never ceases
I am humbled to my knees
You are so amazing
In all the love You spread
I ask that you will replace
My sins with love instead
I want to be more like You
Forgiving, loving, true
I ask You to rebuke me
So it’s the narrow path I’ll pursue
